Kristen's Story

Performing and teaching music for the past 12 years, Kristen's experience and passion is felt from her very first note. Starting her journey as a classical pianist, Kristen's desire to sing and communicate her songs inspired her to explore pop, jazz and other contemporary styles of music. Furthering her studies at the Australian Institute of Music, Kristen studied jazz piano under some of Australia's top pianists. In 2009, Kristen started teaching studio, Studio K in Killara, NSW with only a handful of students. Now with 60+ students and 4 teachers on board, Studio K is flourishing and empowering the next generation to find their voice through song. 2013 saw Kristen and her trio release their debut album, which they then toured across the Philippines in 2014 and again in 2015. After a short hiatus - to become a Mum - Kristen is back performing across Sydney in various capacities and is working away on some new material to be released in the not too distant future.
